Dakota was broken to ride as she was already 7 years old.
One year later she started a very successful showjumping career.
Within two years time she got to the level L and LM and had her first victorys and some second and third places there!
But as they say, all good things come to an end, in 1998 she had a very bad accident. At a competition she jumped into an oxer and multiple broke her left fetlock.
Her leg is alright again, but grew together a little askew. Due to some unknown circumstances she also lost her eyesight on one side over the years.
Nevertheless, Dakota isn’t a poor, old and grumpy horse at all!
She is a beautiful, very lively, athletic and special lady who exactly knows how to rule her herd.
With one ear back no horse would dare to cross her way J.
It’s really funny to see her moving backwards like a lorry –, she uplifts her legs slowly and very, very determined – just the typical “Peep – Peep” is missing! *lol*
Dakota is also a very good broodmare. In 2007 she got her first foal Geronimo by Rothenburg J, a very sensitive and well laid-back young man.
